Canada has a lot of aging population of the time of baby boomers. These old people need care giving. For this purpose, eligible foreign nationals were given work permit to come to Canada for an initial period of two years, extendable for another two years. After working for two years, foreign nationals can apply for permanent residency under CEC. Once they receive PR status they can sponsor their family abroad to come to Canada.
